Yummy Banana Bread!
Thanks to Sheena. I got this recipe from one of my good friends. How easy it is to make this! Now, im thinking i should make my own bread from now on without the banana of course. :D
I made BLUEBERRY bread also and it was so YUMMY and moist!
Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed very ripe bananas
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup sour cream or buttermilk ( I used regular milk because my buttermilk was still frozen)
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour ( I used whole wheat flour)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Method
- In a blender combine bananas, sugar, oil, sour cream and eggs until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add banana mixture, mixing just until combined. - Pour into greased 9X5 inch loaf pan.
- Bake in 325 F oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until tester inserted into centre comes out clean (test at the 1 hour mark to gauge doneness).
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes before turning out onto rack to cool completely.
- Slice to serve, butter if desired. If any left over, try it toasted the next day!Makes 1 loaf.
